Saving the Planet, one Mac at a time...

JRP ensure's we are as Eco friendly and Energy conscious as possible.

• Our Mac's & PC's are set to power save and sleep [no screensavers]. Some computers, like Web & eMail Servers have to be on 24/7, though lately the power-on times are so good no-one really notices much of a delay.
• Monitors are turned off and unplugged from the wall when we do not use them. Transformers and similar power supplies are also unplugged from the wall
• Lights are usually off, unless it is a matter of health and safety for staff working conditions (motion sensitive).
• We try to travel only when we need to, solving issues by phone or email first, by remote desktop, or buy planning a round trip to everyone who needs our help.
• Our staff work from home thereby avoiding unnecessary travel.

• We refurbish or recycle Apple Mac computers to help things go further. These items are ether sold or donated to Charity, Churches, Schools or Students.
• Spare parts are auctioned on eBay, sold on our website or finally dropped off at a recycling depot where they go to training courses locally or actually striped and recycled for metals.
• We shred all our paper and packaging (or reuse it for craft activities!) or dismantle everything to use less space.

We are always striving to do more for the Environment and to save Energy.
